Market on the Square
Time: 8:00am - 12:00pm
Join Lake Forest's own Market on the Square (between Bank Lane and Forest Avenue) featuring local vendors and locally produced flowers, vegetables and goods. Market on the Square provides a congenial gathering place to trade locally grown and homemade products in an open air setting. Proceeds will benefit the community spirit as well as the local economy. Featured local vendors to date: The Garden at Elawa Farm, Amidei Mercatino, Southgate Cafe, Kiddles Sports, Lake Forest Flowers, Bee Boys and Charenton, and Organic Wellness Cafe.

Calling all Lake Forest and Lake Bluff resident dogs. Be sure to bring your owner to the Sixth Annual Dog Day, sponsored once again by Lake Forest Open Lands. Prizes for top dogs, as well as a few gifts for owners, will be part of this fun day. To register your dog, call 847-234-3880, Ext. 10.



Manners, Please
Time: 10:00am - 2:00pm
Social and Dining Skills for the 21st Century (ages 7 - 13)

Instructor Patricia O'Brien has been trained and certified by the Washington School of Protocol to present etiquette programs to children, teens, and young adults. She has established Manners, Please, providing social skills for every occasion. Ms. O'Brien has successfully taught classes in etiquette at many park districts, libraries, schools and organizations in Chicago and the North Shore area. Her motto is "Let's put civility back on the table."

Wetland Safari
Time: 10:00am - 11:30am
Lake Forest Open Lands - Lockhart Family Nature Center, 350 N. Waukegan Road, Lake Forest

Moms and sons of all ages are invited to explore the wetlands. Hunt and catch frogs, toads, salamanders and tadpoles and net for dragonfly nymphs and whirligig beetles. Dress to get wet and muddy. For registration and information call 847-482-1928 or visit www.lfola.org.

LF Bank Carnival
Time: 11:00am - 4:00pm
Annual free carnival at Lake Forest Bank's main location at 727 Bank Lane. Once again Westminster will be closed from Bank Lane to Western Avenue. Event is on rain or shine.
